Our problem is not who governs but how they govern

This is what Mr. Rizq Al-Muzannan said in a discussion on the expected shape of the new government, at a meeting held in the hall of the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution on Wednesday 1/6/2011. Mr. Al-Muzannan stressed that what the Palestinian people want is figures capable of representing them with credibility and enjoying their trust, and a clear political programme on the coming steps at this sensitive stage. One of those present added that it is a duty to speak about the government's role, before its shape, in managing public affairs, unifying the government institutions and the ministries, and preparing for democratic and honest elections. Those present also pointed to the need to form a popular committee to monitor the extent to which what was agreed in Egypt is being implemented, in addition to standing beside the new government in planning and assistance in the coming stage.
