Jawwal holds a workshop on the problems its subscribers suffer from
Today, 04/03/2010, the Jawwal company, in cooperation with the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution, held a meeting on the problems and obstacles Jawwal subscribers suffer from, at the Palestinian Center's premises in Gaza. The meeting was attended by a number of Jawwal staff and the Centre's employees. The workshop began with a welcoming address by the administrative and financial affairs coordinator, Mrs. Mona Ghneim, who welcomed the speakers from Jawwal and those attending from the Centre. This workshop was chaired by Mr. Mohammed Musa, head of administrative affairs at Jawwal, who explained the company's working mechanism and its services to subscribers by speaking about the switches and boosting stations and the network's capacity to take on new lines and new subscribers. He also noted that the cause of the poor signal and the problems subscribers face is the occupation forces' prevention of the switches from entering the Gaza Strip, in addition to the repeated power cuts. He also explained the benefits and importance of the boosting stations and their role in strengthening the signal and taking on a greater number of subscribers, and said there is a remedial plan based on contacts and consultations, by modifying some transmission stations and bringing in around 50 electricity generators according to specific specifications for the company's uses and services, and that if the generators are brought in and installed there will be a noticeable improvement in the network. At the end of the meeting the floor was opened for discussion with those present in order to produce recommendations, and there were several interventions and questions from those present, which Mr. Mohammed Musa answered. He also praised those attending from the Centre and their cooperation with the company.
