The Palestinian Center concludes training for municipal teams on social media skills

The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution today concluded the training for municipal teams on the skills of using social media to promote the municipalities' activities and events, which continued for 3 days at the premises of the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution in Gaza. The training attracted great interest from the participants, where creativity and effective participation were the two prominent features throughout the days of the training, in which the Gaza municipality, the Nuseirat municipality, the Zawayda municipality and the Khuzaa municipality took part with their teams specialising in media, public relations and social communication. 

At the end of the training the trainees set about developing an integrated media plan in which all media and communication means are employed to strengthen the relationship between the municipalities and the public and to activate the citizen's role in social accountability and in taking part in developing and supporting the municipalities' plans, activities and services. 

 It is worth noting that this training comes in the framework of strengthening social accountability within the project for applying the national toolkit for social accountability, Gaza, which is funded by the Municipal Development and Lending Fund MDLF
