This video presents the main achievements of the project "Towards Community Peace: Gender-Sensitive Mediation", implemented by the Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution in the camps of Nablus Governorate with funding from the Government of Canada.
Project Highlights
- Training men and women from the camps in gender-sensitive community mediation and building their capacity to resolve conflicts peacefully.
- Forming community mediation committees with balanced participation of women and men, in cooperation with the popular committees for camp services and local institutions.
- Promoting a culture of dialogue and civil peace, and preventing conflicts in the camps and the local community.
- A closing ceremony under the patronage of the Governor of Nablus Ghassan Daghlas, where the trainees graduated and live testimonies from the field were presented.
