PCDCR Concludes a Training Course on "Preparing and Designing Advocacy Campaigns" within the Women's Health Project in the Northern Jordan Valley
The Palestinian Center for Democracy and Conflict Resolution concluded a training course titled "Preparing and Designing Advocacy Campaigns", implemented within the project "Enhancing Levels of Psychological and Reproductive Health for Women in the Northern Jordan Valley 2", funded by Healing Across the Divides (HATD).
The course was supervised and delivered by trainer Wurud Yasin, who led the program through a series of interactive sessions focused on building the participants' capacities in advocacy and community influence. The course stood out for its practical content, combining theoretical frameworks with hands-on application so that participants gained advanced skills in planning, implementing and evaluating campaigns.
The course saw active participation by women representatives of municipalities and governmental and civil institutions, as well as local associations and feminist activists from across the governorate, creating a rich space for exchanging experience and strengthening joint work among those concerned with women's issues.
The training covered a number of core topics, most notably: how to prepare advocacy campaigns, the steps of a campaign, analyzing community issues and setting priorities, drafting effective advocacy messages, building evidence-based campaign strategies, and using modern media and communication tools to reach target audiences and decision-makers.
The course also focused on strengthening the participants' critical thinking and teamwork skills, enabling them to lead community initiatives that seek positive and lasting change, especially regarding women's psychological and reproductive health and well-being.
This training is part of a series of project activities aimed at supporting women in the Northern Jordan Valley and strengthening their ability to voice their issues and defend their rights, to the benefit of the whole community.
At the end of the course, the participants stressed the value of such training in refining their skills and building their self-confidence, and said they look forward to applying what they learned in advocacy initiatives and campaigns serving women's issues in their communities.
